Calendar Zlata studna

Finally I can tell you about one of the most exciting projects I have been working on lately. As you already might know I am the member of the Association of slovak illustrators and some of us had the possibility to create some artworks for a company Zlata studna and present ourselves and the association through their calendar. And now here it is! The theme was "water" and I had pleasure to create the cover and two other illustrations for may and november. Hope you like them! Thanks to my new agent well-known awardwinning London based illustrator and Fellow of Royal Society of Arts in London in UK Petra Stefankova and my membership in Animacia.co.uk creative collective I had an opportunity to create illustrations for two (working on 3rd now:)) children books written by Isabel Zambujal and Maria Pedro - "Grandes compositores". It is going to be a collection of beautiful books in portuguese with CD about famous composers illustrated by different illustrators.

The first one I have already in my hands is about Chopin. Here are some photos...

Today I took part at Bobby Chiu's "Toby monster" contest at sketchoholic.com for a first time and it was really cool:) Lot of fun, very useful advice from Bobby, perfect opportunity to see what you can create in one hour for a certain topic that Bobby choses every friday...Today's topic was "Toby monster" - illustration based on the real cute Bobby's pet. This is my Toby monster..well..to be honest..doesn't look like real Toby..looks more like a cat or something...but I was proud of myself I didn't give up and in the end I got one vote :))) That makes me happy :) Looking forward next live drawing with Bobby Chiu:)
